HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The Harford County Youth Sailing Program is gearing up for another exciting season of summer sailing camps designed for youth ages 8–18. With camps running from June through August 2026, the program offers hands‑on instruction in sailboat handling, water safety, teamwork, and confidence building on the water.
The 2026 sailing camp season opens with introductory sessions and progresses through more advanced skill levels, allowing campers of varying ages and experience to find a group that fits their goals. Camps are scheduled to run throughout summer, giving families flexibility in planning and participation.
Registration for summer sailing camp is open now and will continue through May 1, 2026, or until sessions fill. Interested families can learn more and register online at hdgyouthsailing.org/camp‑information/. Scholarships are available for families who qualify, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent young people from enjoying time on the water and learning valuable sailing skills.
About the Harford County Youth Sailing Program
Founded to provide youth with the opportunity to learn sailing, water safety, and leadership, the Harford County Youth Sailing Program (HdGYSP) has become a staple of summer activity on the region’s waterways. The organization’s mission is to promote character development, physical confidence, and seamanship through instruction on the water in a supportive, inclusive environment.
In addition to summer camps, HdGYSP offers year‑round sailing opportunities, clinics, and community events that welcome sailors of all ages and experience. The program also engages families and volunteers in supporting safe, fun, and educational experiences for young sailors.
