The Nonprofit Advocates Networking Alliance (NANA) is a mission-driven community engagement program that combines professional networking with nonprofit support.
NANA brings together business professionals, experienced retirees, and community members who want to use their time, insight, and expertise to help a nonprofit organization each month while building relationships with others in the community.
At the center of the model are individual NANA Clubs, each connected to a host nonprofit. Each club meets once a month on a set day and time, with meetings lasting one hour.
A typical meeting format includes:
There is no cost for a nonprofit to host a club.
NANA’s revenue comes through memberships and sponsorships, with 20% of membership fees donated to the host nonprofit. Twenty percent of club and regional sponsorship revenue is also donated back to participating nonprofits.
Membership opportunities listed on the website include:
The NANA Susquehanna region includes active and forming clubs connected to several local organizations, including Fresh Start Furnishings, Bethesda Transformation Center, Harford County Education Foundation, Hope in a Horseshoe, Lovli Life, CASA of Harford County, and Breathe 379.
For community members interested in networking while supporting nonprofit causes, or for organizations interested in hosting a club, additional information is available at nanaclubs.com.
