

For more than 80 years, the Bel Air Lions have been dedicated to serving the needs of the Bel Air community through volunteer service, fundraising, and community partnerships. Chartered in 1943, the club is part of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service organization, with more than 1.3 million volunteers serving in over 200 countries.
The Bel Air Lions support a wide range of community needs through programs focused on vision, hearing, hunger, health and welfare, youth services, environmental services, and community service.
The Bel Air Lions are committed to empowering volunteers to serve their communities. Their purpose includes promoting good citizenship, encouraging high ethical standards, strengthening friendships through service, taking an active interest in the civic and social welfare of the community, and encouraging people to serve without personal financial reward.
Each year, club members participate in more than 300 service activities totaling more than 8,000 hours of volunteer service. The club also provides more than $40,000 in donations and services to the community each year.
Through the Bel Air Lions Foundation, scholarships are awarded to local high school students based on their community service. From 2016 through 2022, the Foundation awarded more than $60,000 in scholarships.

In addition, attending fundraising events such as the Christmas Tree Sale, Bingo, Fruit Sale, Golf Tournament, and other special events helps fund the Bel Air Lions' community service efforts.
